Gati Process, Technology, Automation and Awards (2001-2006)
To improve marketing focus, operational efficiency, and service quality, Gati reorganized from the zonal level to separate industries and business functions. Gati has become a process-oriented organization that implements performance metrics and evaluations across the line of services, HR, and operations.
In 2001, Gati, in partnership with Indian Railways, launched the first Millennium Parcel Express Service, an exclusive freight train between Mumbai and Kolkata. Gati continued to search for a center of excellence to fund its business activities, and found Singapore, an international business center, ideal for its purposes.
During this time, Gati has focused time and time again on the fundamental value proposition - service delivery.
